Editor’s Note
The effortless glamour of the French Riviera takes center stage in Slim Aarons' Leisure In Antibes, photographed in August 1969. Just offshore from the legendary Hôtel du Cap-Eden-Roc, a woman relaxes in a motorboat as it pulls a waterskier across the Mediterranean. The contrast between leisurely sunbathing and the action unfolding behind her captures the carefree spirit of Riviera summers during the jet-set era. An unmistakable example of Aarons' eye for privileged leisure, the photograph is reproduced on archival Fuji Crystal Archive paper and custom-framed by hand for lasting display.
